DR’s Appt

I had a well check today.   Brought the three kids with me due it to being a “snow day”.  That was fun explaining what exams they wanted to do with me.    Thank goodness, I just had my internal exam last August, so I didn’t have to have that exam.  I even shaved for the occasion though.  I am officially at 100 pounds!!  My next goal is to get under the 200 pound mark, and then after that I’ll be happy.   I would like to under my husband’s weight.. …  but my surgeon said that is unrealistic..LOL.   So my goal is to be between 150-175.   My realistic goal is just to be able to shop in regular stores.  I love you Lane Bryant, Avenues, and Torrid, but I want to shop everywhere!

The Dr took 3 vials of blood, so I’ll report back in a few days on how my blood sugar is doing.

I have toyed with this idea for a while

The idea is to create a blog of my weight loss.   The picture on left was me in April 2013.  On the right was me in January 2014.Image

Before you run out and get the surgery.   Let me tell you it is NOT for the faint of heart.   There is throwing up (lots of it), depression, and fears.

Let me tell you about me.    My name is Diana and I am 39 years old.   I have been married to my wonderful (and tiny) husband Eric, since 2000.  We have three wonderful (most of the time) children.   They are E who is 10, S is 8, and B is 6.  The girls are the two youngest.    Image I had the surgery for a few reasons, I am diabetic, hypothroid, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, PCOS, and IBS. I wanted to get rid of everything! I did it to be alive to see my Grandkids.   My mother, died at the age of 37 suddenly to a brain aneurysm.  I was 10. My Mother in law died 3 years ago from breast cancer.  I couldn’t let my kids have another Mother figure die young.

This blog is going to chronicle my daily struggles and triumphs over my weight loss journey.
